School Admissions Policy

Hartford American School (HAS) is an inspiring learning environment for children from Pre-K to Grade 12. Our American curriculum is tailored to meet the individual learning needs of each child, with mastery of essential skills as one of our core objectives. We empower students to fully develop their intellectual, emotional, social, creative, and physical abilities within a challenging and supportive atmosphere. Beyond academics, we aim to instill a positive attitude toward lifelong learning and an appreciation for cultural diversity while equipping students with the higher-order thinking and problem-solving skills essential for success.

Student Registration Procedure

  • To initiate the admissions process, please complete the application form and submit the required documents.
  • After submission, the school will contact you to schedule an interview and/or an admissions test for your child.
  • If a place is available, we will reach out to arrange the payment of a non-refundable reservation fee to secure your child’s enrollment.

Required Documents

During the registration process, you will need to provide the following documents:

  • Student Registration Form
  • School Assessment Form
  • Two passport-sized photographs

Copies of the below Documents

  • Student’s Qatari Identification Card
  • Student’s Passport
  • Student’s Birth Certificate
  • Student’s Health Record
  • Qatari Identification Card and Passport for parents
  • Student’s previous school report card
  • Clearance letter from the previous school
  • Guardian employment certificate
  • Health Card
  • Vaccination Record

Please ensure that all relevant information regarding your child is current during the registration process, including:

  • Details about allergies or special medications
  • Up-to-date contact information and emergency phone numbers for both parents
  • Confirmation that your child has received all necessary vaccinations; consult your physician if you have any doubts

Note that all students must possess a valid Qatar ID to officially start school.
